Japan calls on Azerbaijan to stop military activities in Nagorno-Karabakh

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. Japan’s Foreign Minister Yōko Kamikawa has called on Azerbaijan to stop current military activities in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“Japan expresses serious concern over the recent worsening of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and strongly calls for the immediate cessation of hostilities and for Azerbaijan to stop current military activities. Japan calls on all parties to resolve issues surrounding this region peacefully through dialogue,” Japan’s Foreign Minister Yōko Kamikawa said in a statement.

Azerbaijan has launched a large-scale attack on Nagorno-Karabakh, bombarding and sending troops from various directions of the line of contact. Civilian infrastructures are being hit. The attack has caused multiple casualties, including among the civilian population.
