A U.S. affiliated company is building a steel mill in the Armenian village of Yeraskh near the border with Azerbaijan.

Ever since the construction was launched, Azerbaijan has been spreading fake news with false accusations of environmental hazards associated with the steel mill. These accusations have been denied by the Armenian environmental protection authorities. Furthermore, the Azerbaijani military have numerously targeted the construction site with small arms fire. On June 18, two foreign workers were wounded in an Azeri shooting. The construction site has been targeted by the Azeri troops since then again.
