YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Sargis Khandanyan has said that Azerbaijan’s aggressive policy and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh are negative impacting the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations.
“I think the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh and also Azerbaijan’s aggressive policy are negatively impacting the negotiations,” Khandanyan told reporters Wednesday when asked to assess the current pace of the Armenian-Azerbaijani talks.
“But this doesn’t mean that Armenia should abandon its goal of resolving the issues peacefully and signing a peace treaty, thus Armenia is ready to return to the negotiation table at any moment and continue discussing the issues,” Khandanyan added.
Asked whether or not there are any mediated proposals to hold Armenia-Azerbaijan talks, Khandanyan said there are no concrete agreements at this moment.
