MP Seyran Ohanyan stripped of immunity from prosecution

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 8, ARMENPRESS. Parliament approved the prosecutor-general’s motion asking for permission to prosecute Member of Parliament, head of the Hayastan faction Seyran Ohanyan.

Lawmakers held a closed vote on the motions.

68 of 107 lawmakers participated in the vote and all voted in favor.

Two motions were approved, one of which is classified because it contains sensitive information pertaining to Ohanyan’s tenure as defense minister.
