“Artsakh, stay strong” – Karen Khachanov signs camera lens after beating American Frances Tiafoe at Australian Open

YEREVAN, JANUARY 20, ARMENPRESS. Russian tennis player of Armenian descent Karen Khachanov (20th in the world) qualified for the round of 16 of the Australian Open by beating American Frances Tiafoe (17th), semi-finalist of the last US Open, 6-3, 6-4 , 3-6, 7-6 (11/9) Friday in Melbourne.

Traditionally, players sign the camera lens after the match. Khachanov wrote “Artsakh, stay strong”, expressing support to the Republic of Artsakh, which is currently blockaded by Azerbaijan.
