The head of the EU delegation in Armenia expresses condolences on the death of 15 servicemen

YEREVAN, JANUARY 19, ARMENPRESS. The head of the delegation of the European Union in Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin expressed condolences on the death of 15 servicemen as a result of a fire in one of the military units of Armenia.

" On behalf of the EU Delegation, I express my deep condolences for the tragic loss of lives of Armenian servicemen due to the fire in Azet. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones. We wish a speedy recovery to the injured ones.," ARMENPRESS reports, Wiktorin wrote on her Twitter page.

Fire broke out in one of the military units of the Defense Ministry Armenia on January 19, killing 15 servicemen, and injuring 3. According to preliminary data, the fire broke out as a result of not observing fire safety rule. In particular, the officer tried to light the furnace using gasoline from a 5 liter container.
