Armenia registers record number of jobs, average salary grows, says PM Pashinyan

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS. Armenia has set a new record with the number of registered jobs in November 2022, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the Cabinet meeting.

“For the first time in the history of the third Republic, the number of jobs has surpassed 700 thousand,” Pashinyan said. “As of November, there are 701,451 jobs in Armenia. Thus, since May of 2018, 153 thousand 462 jobs were created in Armenia and a 28% growth was recorded.”

Moreover, the gross salary budget, or the payroll, virtually doubled compared to May of 2018, growing 89 billion 120 million drams or by 92,3%.

“The average monthly salary grew by 44,930 drams or 20,4% compared to November of 2021. This means that our employed countrymen successfully withstood inflation, because inflation is far lower – 8,5%,” Pashinyan said.
