Armenia promotes use of electric transportation in every possible way, PM says at EAEU meeting

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. Industrial cooperation is an important element of the economic integration in the Eurasian region, and the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) must concentrate their efforts to promote all the promising initiatives, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in his remarks during the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Bishkek, presenting a number of relevant issues for the Union.
“Industrial cooperation is an important element of the economic integration in the Eurasian region, and we must concentrate our efforts for promoting all the promising initiatives. In this context, we are launching today a new financial assistance mechanism for the industrial cooperation. I am convinced that this financing tool will contribute to the technological development of our countries”, he said.
He also said that they have started together with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) the roadmap within the framework of the climate agenda.
“The topic of “green” technologies and environment protection is of particular relevance for Armenia. Developing the “green” energy, Armenia is actively appropriating renewable energy sources. Measures are being taken for the decarbonization of the metalworking industry. We promote the use of electric transportation in every possible way”, Pashinyan said.
