Armenia Through the Eyes of Foreigners: Journalists and bloggers discover the country

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS. Culture, adventure and gastro tours: the Tourism Committee of Armenia has started another project of introductory visits to Armenia, involving foreign journalists and bloggers.

Spokesperson of the Tourism Committee Anna Margaryan told ARMENPRESS that the Committee has been organizing this kind of visits in different formats for more than 10 years.

“This year the visits have a new and special content as starting from May we are presenting Armenia with a new brand which has 4 directions – cultural, adventure, gastro and nature-based tourism”, she said.

Anna Margaryan informed that this year they hosted guests from the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Georgia and one more group from the UAE will arrive in December. Several more other countries will join next year.

Armenia is a hidden corner which is an ideal option for a traveler who wants to observe and discover new and interesting destinations.

“Our guests have a wonderful opportunity to feel the hospitality of our country, the history having deep roots, the delicious cuisine, discover the amazing sites and establish new ties. We are happy to see Armenia with their eyes. We are inviting bloggers, influencers having big audience in their home countries, media representatives who cover their visits, which in its turn brings new tourists to Armenia from that countries”, Anna Margaryan said.

On what criteria the places, where the journalists and bloggers are going to visit, have been selected, Mrs. Margaryan said the tours are organized taking into account the characteristics of the group. They are trying to involve as many beautiful sites as possible and make an equal distribution in all 4 directions – adventure, cultural, gastro and nature-based tourism.

Anna Margaryan informed that the costs are covered by the inviting side. The Tourism Committee is also cooperating with their partners in the field of tourism in Armenia which provide services.
