Iran vows adequate counterreaction if any country carries out actions outside its borders – Consul General in Kapan

If any country takes actions outside its borders, Iran will respond accordingly, Iran’s Consul General Morteza Abedin Varaminsaid, commenting on the question about the Azerbaijani aggression against Armenia.

“The high-ranking officials of Iran have clearly and repeatedly stated that both the territorial integrity and internationally recognized borders of countries must be respected”, the Consul said.

He reminded that the Iranian FM has emphasized that the security of Armenia is the security of Iran. “And we say it very simply and clearly that we will not officially recognize any change in borders. We want peaceful and stable Armenia. Our call here is a call for peace and friendship. Of course, we will take into consideration the interests of the two countries. I tell the people of Kapan once again – don’t worry, I am here in Kapan”, Morteza Abedin Varamin said.
