YEREVAN, OCTOBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan considers electronic trade an important sector. He says the share of electronic trade is constantly growing because, he notes, the development of digital platforms in the modern world is inevitable and is a constant process.
“Respectively, the effective fiscal regulation in the field of electronic trade is becoming more relevant for us. In this context I consider it necessary to adopt these procedures as soon as possible and then discuss the issues that have not been agreed upon, aimed at creating a reliable regulation system based on the taxation principles in the country”, the PM said during the extended-format session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan.
He stated that Armenia supports contemporary solutions for the development of information systems within the frames of the development of the EAEU integrated information system and is ready to be actively engaged into these processes as much as possible.
“I am sure that taking the consistent steps in the IT sector, which are envisaged by the Union’s 2027 integrated information system development targeted program, will serve as a strategic base for achieving digital solutions of a very high demand”, the PM stated.
Another important sector, according to the Armenian PM, is industry. He says in conditions of contemporary economic challenges, the industrial cooperation and development of joint productions, including in high-tech field, will allow the member states to be more competitive.
“I am confident that the use of potential of financial institutions and joint efforts will enable to transition soon to the production of goods having demand in the Union”, the PM stated.
