Arkady Tamazyan elected Mayor of Alaverdi

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 12, ARMENPRESS. The Alaverdi City Council unanimously elected Arkady Tamazyan from the Aprelu Yerkir party as the new Mayor.

Tamazyan will be sworn in at 11:00, October 15.

Tamazyan’s party won the local elections in Alaverdi on September 25, garnering 6791 votes. The Civil Contract party had garnered 6557 votes, while the ANC and ARF got 340 and 316 votes respectively. Aprelu Yerkir, Civil Contract and ANC received the required votes to enter the city council. Then, Aprelu Yerkir and ANC formed a coalition.
