Azeri military encroachments against Armenia must immediately end – German MP Dietmar Nietan

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. German Member of Parliament from the ruling SPD party Dietmar Nietan reaffirmed that both the German parliament and the Federal Government have to clearly record that the encroachments and military actions against Armenian territories are unacceptable and must immediately end.

Nietan issued a statement after meeting with the Armenian Ambassador to Germany Viktor Yengibaryan.

“The encroachments against Armenia’s borders and territories, which are happening as a result of the large-scale Azerbaijani military actions, are unacceptable. Only negotiations aimed at sustainable peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, also addressing the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, can lead to the peoples of the two countries living peacefully side by side. I reiterated my commitment to the ambassador that both the Bundestag [German parliament] and the Federal Government have to clearly record that the encroachments and military actions against Armenian territories are unacceptable and must immediately end,” Nietan said.
