Armenian national football team head coach resigns

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. The Football Federation of Armenia and head coach of the Armenian national team Joaquín Caparrós are terminating their cooperation by a bilateral consent, the FFA said.

Joaquín Caparrós will no longer serve as the head coach of the Armenian national team.

On September 28 FFA President Armen Melikbekyan met with Joaquín Caparrós, discussed this year’s performances of the national team. During the meeting they both agreed not to continue the cooperation.

Melikbekyan thanked the Spanish football manager for his work, for standing by the national team in difficult days and for his high professionalism.
