COVID-19 latest updates: China confirms 2 new cases in one day

YEREVAN, JULY 11, ARMENPRESS. The number of people infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) around the world has surpassed 12 million 639 thousand, according to the data released by coronavirus research centers.

The death toll is over 563,000.

More than 7 million 377 thousand patients have recovered.

USis leading in the world in terms of the largest number of infected people (3 million 291 thousand 176 confirmed cases). 136,671 deaths were reported.

Brazil has reported a total of 1 million 804 thousand 338 confirmed cases and 70,524 deaths.

India is the 3rd, with a total of 822,674 confirmed cases and 22,152 deaths.

The next is Russia. The total number of cases in Russia has reached 720,547. 11,205 patients have died so far.

Peru has confirmed 319,646 cases. The deaths here comprise 11,500.

Chine is the 6th with a total of 309,274 confirmed cases and 6,781 deaths.

Spain reported 300,988 confirmed cases and 28,403 deaths.

Mexico has confirmed 289,174 cases and 34,191 deaths.

UK has confirmed 288,133 cases. The death toll has reached 44,650.

Iran is the 10th country with 252,720 cases and 12,447 deaths.

China, where the COVID-19 outbreak started, is now the 23rdwith a total of 83,587 cases (2 new cases in one day), out of which 78,623 have already recovered. The death toll here is 4,634.

Georgiaconfirmed 981 cases of coronavirus and 15 deaths.
