Bomb squads called in to Yerevan airport over suspicious package, nothing hazardous found

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRESS. Bomb squads were called into Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan 23:25, October 24 over a suspicious package at the entrance of the departure hall.

Multiple first-responders and rescuers were dispatched to the scene, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a news release.

The suspicious package was a plastic bag containing an unknown substance.

Police officers moved the package to a safe area and searched it for any hazardous materials. However, it turned out that the bad did not contain anything explosive.
