Armenians impatiently waiting for chance to freely travel to EU, Pashinyan tells Tusk on visa 
liberalization

YEREVAN, MARCH 5, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has addressed the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) during a meeting with President of the European Council Donald Tusk in Brussels. He said CEPA is a very important tool for expanding bilateral relations and realizing Armenia’s reforms agenda.

“We intend to implement this ambitious agenda, relying on the solid mandate of our citizens and countrymen, as well as the progressing assistance of our international partners. We concur that the agreement’s maximally speedy ratification by all member states has significant importance and will enable benefiting from all opportunities envisaged by this document, which are temporarily being applied since June of 2018. In this context be discussed the directions for accelerating the ratification process,” Pashinyan said in a joint press conference after the meeting with Tusk.

“Citizens of Armenia are impatiently waiting the chance to freely travel to the European Union in the nearest future. We hope that a political decision will be recorded in this issue, because this will be a tangible result for our citizens and will make our partnership more visible,” the Armenian prime minister said.

Pashinyan said they also addressed the upcoming 10th anniversary of Eastern Partnership. “I reiterated our commitment to be actively involved in the joint preparations for the Eastern Partnership’s 10th anniversary”, he said.
