YEREVAN, OCTOBER 29, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony of Vanadzor Football Academy, reports “Armenpress”.

The opening ceremony was held by the President of the Football Federation of Armenia Ruben Hayrapetyan and Lori Governor Artur Nalbandyan.

President Sargsyan got acquainted with the carried out works, toured the newly constructed building.

The construction of Vanadzor Football Academy is a joint investment project carried out by the Armenian Football Federation and UEFA. The total cost of the project was nearly 1,133 billion AMD, from which over 982.17 million AMD was provided by the FFA, and over 150.83 by the UEFA.

There are modern football serving infrastructures in the building, as well as 1 artificial and 3 natural grass pitches which are in accordance with the professional football standards set by FIFA and UEFA.

Over 600 boys and girls can train in Vanadzor Football Academy. Coaching educational lectures will be organized here for the local coaches as a result of which the trained and licensed coaches will have a right to work in the academy.
