Greek Prime Minister stressed the importance of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement within 
OSCE Minsk Group

YEREVAN, MARCH 15, ARMENPRESS. On an official visit to Athens, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, at the meeting with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, discussed a number of issues related to regional developments. “Armenpress” reports, citing the official website of the Government of Greece, that at a joint press conference with Armenian President, Prime Minister of Greece said that issues on the developments of the Black Sea region were also included in the agenda of the meeting.

"We have noted the importance of peace approval in Ukraine on the basis of the Minsk agreements. We underlined the importance of strengthening security and stability in the South Caucasus. I also noted the importance of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the OSCE Minsk Group ", Tsipras said.

During the discussions, the Greek Prime Minister informed the Armenian president about the developments on the Cyprus issue, noting the need for a lasting solution to the issue within the framework of UN resolutions.

"The solution must ensure the safety of the people of Cyprus, without accommodation of foreign troops on the island and without anachronistic guarantees", the prime minister of Greece said.

The meeting discussed a number of issues  Armenian-Greek cooperation within the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. "In this context, we expressed our support for the development of cooperation between Armenia and the EU, in particular in the sectors of the economy and the mobility of citizens",  Tsipras said.
