Former Georgia Education Minister to head National Police of Ukraine

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS. The Ukrainian government has chosen the head of the National police of Ukraine,created byPrime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk in early September. The Department has been headed by Advisor to the Deputy head of the Ministry of internal Affairs Khatia Dekanoidze, who previously held the post of Minister of education of Georgia, reportsUNN. “Armenpress” reports the aforementioned referring to en.news-4-u.ru.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with the new head of the national police.

Poroshenko is confident that “within a very short time we can convert from militia to polic”. The National law defines the police as an Executive body that serves the public and is intended for protection of rights and freedoms, combating crime, maintaining public order and public security.
