YEREVAN, OCTOBER 12, ARMENPRESS. A seminar themed “Security issues of civil aviation from the perspective of meteorological service” was held in the Russian city St. Petersburg. As “Armenpress” was informed from the Department of Information and Public Relations of Republic of Armenia Ministry of Nature Protection, 59 delegations from 10 CIS countries partook in the seminar.  Head of Staff of “Zvartnots” Aviameteorological Centre CJSC Tatul Hayrapetyan and technical maintenance director Garnik Petrosyan represented the Armenian delegation.

Participant delegations, including the Armenian delegation, came up with suggestions for making civil aviation flights more secure from the perspective of meteorological service. The attendees were informed that the meteorological information of “Zvartnots” Aviameteorological Centre CJSC is precise by 93.5% which exceeds many the indexes of many regional countries.
