Russia denies information about protest note from Turkish MFA

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS. Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not send a protest note, connected with the second case of the violation of the Turkish air space by Russian plane, to the Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov, which allegedly took place on October 4.

As “Armenpress” reports, press officer of the Russian Embassy inTurkey Igor Mityakov informed about this to RIA news agency.

“There was transmitted an information to us, and not a protest note”, he said, whereas during the interview with the Russian media, Turkish diplomatic source announced other information.

NATO reported that Russian military aircrafts violated the Turkish air space for 2 times on October 3 and October 4. Russian Federation confirmed the fact of violating the Turkish air space, mentioning that it happened because of the bad weather conditions. But Russian side did not provide any official information about the second violation.
