Azerbaijani rector detained in Germany

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS. Rector of the Kiev branch of Tafakkur University Riyad Aliyev has been detained, employees of the website created by Aliyev wrote on Facebook.

“Armenpress” reports referring to APA that according to the information, Interpol officers came today at Aliyev’s office and summoned him to Nuremberg prison in Germany.

Riyad Aliyev, 40-year-old rector of the Kiev branch of Tafakkur University, was put on Interpol’s wanted list over fraud in May. As Aliyev fled the country, Azerbaijani law-enforcement bodies declared him internationally wanted and appealed to Interpol for his detention.
