Serzh Sargsyan and Barack Obama discuss Nagorno Karabakh conflict

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 2, ARMENPRESS. The President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, discussed Armenian-American relations, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and other issues of mutual interest with the President of the USA, Barack Obama. RPA Spokesperson and the Republic of Armenia NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov told the journalists about this after RPA Executive Body session answering to the question “What issues did the Presidents of the Republic of Armenia and the USA discuss during the short meeting in New York?”

“A short meeting took place during which Armenian-American relations and Nagorno Karabakh problem were discussed. We highly appreciate the efforts of the United States of America, as well as the other co-chair states, aimed at peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict”, “Armenpress” reports, Sharmazanov emphasized.

He noted that Armenian-American relations extent beyond the cooperation with the USA aimed at peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, adding that Armenia is interested in deepening relations with the USA.

The President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, had a short private conversation with the President of the USA, Barack Obama, during his visit to New York within the framework of the UN summit.
