Armenian, Turkish and German historians to discuss Armenian Genocide in Berlin

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. On September 5, 2015 a conference titled “The Presence of the Past –100 Years After the Armenian Genocide 1915” will be held in Berlin organized by Heinrich Böll Foundation. “Armenpress” reports that head of the EU/North America Department of the Heinrich Böll Foundation Sergey Lagodinsky and Raffi Kantian,presidentof the German-Armenian Society will make welcoming speeches at the conference.

The main topics of the discussion will be the Armenian Genocide, the memories of Genocide survivors, perpetrators of the Genocide and how these issues should be referred to nowadays. Armenian, German and Turkish speakers will make speeches. Vice President of the Bundestag Claudia Rothand other Bundestag members will make speeches at the conference.
