YEREVAN, AUGUST 28, ARMENPRESS. The political forces are looking forward to the discussions on the new draft Constitution at the parliament during which they will present their suggestions and objections. Many parliamentary and non-parliamentary forces met with the President Serzh Sargsyan within the framework of meetings related to the Constitutional Reforms. 

Representatives of the National Assembly factions "Prosperous Armenia" , "Rule of Law" and "Armenian Revolutionary Federation" and also non-parliamentary forces “Armenian National Movement”, “Free Democrats” and “The Christian Democratic Union” have already met the President. MP Alexander  Arzoumanian, member of  Armenian National Movement, informed during his talk with “Armenpress” that at the meeting with the President they introduced their objections referring the draft Constitution and discussed the suggestions they had presented earlier. “We will continue working in this direction; we’ll see later what will become of it.  Member of the Specialized Commission on Constitutional Reforms Vardan Poghosyan was also present at the meeting. The latter must introduce the draft Constitution at the National Assembly. The draft has already been submitted to the National Assembly during the discussion of which new suggestions will be made.”, concluded Arzoumanian. 

“Free Democrats” released a statement saying that the draft Constitution according to them does not serve to the improvement of the life of the Armenian citizens.  

“Armenian Revolutionary Federation” had announced about their positive attitude towards the Constitutional Reforms before the meeting with the President. The faction is for the Consitutional reforms and will spare no effort to bring the reforms to life.

"Prosperous Armenia" and “The Christian Democratic Union” representatives assessed their meeting with the President as positive and effective.

"Rule of Law" expressed no specific position referring the Constitutional Reforms after the meeting with the President. Before the meeting the representatives of the faction were against the draft Constitution.
