Turkey freezes "Turkish Stream" gas pipeline talks

Turkey freezes "Turkish Stream" gas pipeline talks

YEREVAN, JULY 30, ARMENPRESS. Turkey has decided to temporarily freeze the negotiations with the Russian Federation over the “Turkish Stream” due to lack of progress in the negotiation process. “Armenpress” reports that “TASS” informs about this citing the Habertürk TV channel.

One of the reasons for freezing the above-mentioned negotiations is the absence of the final document that was to provide discount for delivering Russian gas. Russia and Turkey were arranging an agreement according to which the price for gas was to be discounted by 10.25% starting from January 1, 2016, but the document has not been signed up till now.

According to the Russian experts no document will be signed until Turkey forms the new government.
