Armenian Genocide recognition resolution to be submitted to Belgian Parliament

BRUSSELS, JUNE 17, ARMENPRESS: The Parliament of Belgium will discuss the draft resolution on the Armenian Genocide recognition. The Honorary President of the Flemish National Movement, MP and the author of the draft Peter De Roover will present the draft on June 18 at the plenary session. Roover informed Armenpress that the resolution on the Armenian Genocide recognition will be officially presented at the session, after which the day of the voting will be set.
“This resolution is not only of symbolic nature. Our aim is that the Government of Belgium recognizes the Armenian Genocide. Then we want also to foster the cooperation between Armenia and Turkey”, - stated Peter De Roover.
The plenary session will take place on June 18 at 15:00 Belgian time.
