Armenian and Latvian Presidents praise dynamics of interstate relations

YEREVAN, 21 MAY, ARMENPRESS. President Serzh Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to the Republic of Latvia with the purpose of participating in the summit of the European People’s Party and the Eastern Partnership summit, had today a meeting with President of the Republic of Latvia Andris Bērziņš.

As the Public Relations and Mass Media Department of the Structure to the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the heads of both states praised the Armenian-Latvian political dialogue growing with the spirit of mutual understanding and the dynamics of interstate relations and emphasized the importance of enhancing the dynamics. In addition to the items on the agenda of bilateral relations, Serzh Sargsyan and Andris Bērziņš discussed issues on the future of cooperation between the European Union and the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting, the President of Latvia mentioned that Armenia’s decision to accede to the Eurasian Economic Union was pragmatic and Armenia’s multilateral balanced approach was commendable. President Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that Armenia was interested in enhancing relations with the friendly Latvia in the economic sector as well.
