Egyptian Al-Masry Al-Youm Daily highlights Armenian Genocide

YEREVAN, MAY 5, ARMENPRESS: The authoritative Egyptian Al-Masry Al-Youm Daily published the article of the famous political figure, the Deputy Director of the Al-Ahram Research Center, the retired MP Emad Gad about the Armenian Genocide in Arabic. Armenpress reports that in his article Gad states that he expects that Egypt will follow the example of other capitals and recognize the crime, committed by the Turks against the Armenians. “There is no excuse for delay or non-recognition”, - he wrote.
In his article, entitled “100 years after the crime, committed by the Turks against the Armenians”, he presents the Arab reader how a century ago, right on these days, the Ottoman troops began the massacres of 1,5 million innocent Armenian population, how thousands of Armenians were deported, on the way subjected to hunger, diseases and bandit attacks.
The author writes that the term “genocide” appeared to characterize the atrocities of the Turkish soldiers against the Armenians.
