YEREVAN, APRIL 16, ARMENPRESS. On April 16 within the framework of the working visit in Saint Petersburg the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Galust Sahakyan met with the Speaker of the RF FA State Duma Sergey Narishkin.

The Information and Public Relations Department of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that the sides discussed issues regarding the Eurasian Economic Union. Sergey Narishkin thanked Galust Sahakyan for personally taking part in the works of the international conference “Eurasian Economic Perspectives.” He also expressed his satisfaction with the development of the parliamentary bilateral cooperation and assured that the Russian side will do utmost for making more efficient the cooperation.

The Speaker of the National Assembly Galust Sahakyan documented that in the parliament of the Republic of Armenia a special expertise group was set up, which will be engaged in the compliance of the legislation with the EEU membership and the issues of the analysis of the information related to it.

The sides discussed the economy of the two countries, the efficiency of the involvement of the Republic of Armenia in the united market and issues concerning the numerous joint programmes.
