Cher urges Turkey to acknowledge Genocide

YEREVAN, APRIL 14, ARMENPRESS: The famous American Armenian singer Cherilyn Sarkisian (Cher) urged the Turkish government to recognize the Armenian Genocide. Armenpress reports that the pop-star made such note in her Twitter blog.

“I do not feel anger or blame the people of Turkey for something that happened 100 years ago. But I think the government should acknowledge the Genocide”,- she wrote.

Cher made another note, telling about the story about the Genocide, told by her grandmother:“A horror story my grandmother told me: The Turks came to the village and called a town meeting and shot men and boys and raped the women and girls”.
