Political parties to nominate Armenian candidates in Turkey's parliamentary elections

YEREVAN, 8 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. The parties, getting prepared for the Turkey’s upcoming parliamentary elections, published the lists of their candidates, who will be nominated. Armenpress reports, citing Armenian periodical Agos that the ruling party “Justice and Development”, the opposition Republican People’s Party and the pro-Kurdish People’s Democracy Party, which have the greatest pretension of winning the elections, nominated Armenian candidates in Istanbul.
The opposition and ruling parties nominated Armenian candidates in the same constituency. Armenian-Turkish lawyer Selina Ozuzun Dogann is the candidate nominated by the ruling party, who will become the first Armenian woman deputy in the Turkish parliament many years after.
