YEREVAN, 27 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. International football stars agreed with pleasure to participate in the football match dedicated to the 60^th birthday anniversary of legendary Armenian football player Khoren Hovhannisyan.

Vincent Candela revealed his relationship with the Armenians and stated that he grew up listening to Charles Aznavour’s songs. “I grew up listening to Charles Aznavour’s songs. I have also played with Youri Djorkaeff, who is of Armenian descent. I would like to express my gratitude to Khoren Hovhannisyan and the organizers. I am certain that the football match will be great,” Candela said.

Former football player for Madrid’s Real, the legendary Iván Zamoranonoticed the Armenians’ hospitality as soon as he arrived in Armenia. “I am very happy to be in Armenia. I have already felt the Armenians’ hospitality. I have played with Youri Djorkaeff for three years, and of course, I have talked to him about the Armenians, but I hope to become more familiar with Armenia,” Zamorano emphasized.

Portuguese football player Paulo Ferreira doesn’t know about Armenian football, but mentioned the following: “It is a pleasure for me to be here. I hope we enjoy the match tomorrow,” he said.
