YEREVAN, 20 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. The first collection of the Armenian “5900 BC” brand-name clothing is ready. The clothes were designed by Armenian and Italian designers and were produced by Armenian companies. Clothes in different styles are all part of one brand, starting from athletic and ending with business for 18-45-year-old people.

 As “Armenpress” reports, the name of the newly created brand is symbolic. According to program coordinator Araksya Grigoryan, the letters “BC” mean “Before Christ”, and the number “5,900” is the corresponding date.“Archaeologists say the world’s oldest skirt, which was found in the Areni village of Armenia, was created in 5,900 B.C. The textile of the skirt served as a basis to create the logo for the brand. The abbreviation “BC” also means “Best Clothes”, but we’re not rushing to use that,” Grigoryan said. Grigoryan there were different ideas when creating the logo for the brand, but they decided to use the number “5,900”. “The world’s ten oldest clothes can be found in Armenia. We wanted to present the history with this brand,” she added.
