Murderer of family in Gyumri to undergo punishment in Armenia

YEREVAN, JANAURY 15, ARMENPRESS. The Prosecutor-General of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Kostanyan has again announced and confirmed that the murderer of the family in Gyumri will be held responsible in the territory of the Republic of Armenia and there will be an opportunity to follow the entire process of criminal responsibility and punishment.

As reports “Armenpress”, among other things, the Prosecutor-General of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Kostanyan underscored: “As an Armenian and the Prosecutor-General of the Republic of Armenia, I officially announce that this is the pain of all of us; the legal system is absolutely consistent in this issue. I repeat, from the viewpoint of our legislation and international law, the person will face with criminal responsibility and punishment in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.”

The Prosecutor-General of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Kostanyan will visit Gyumri on January 15 and he will be ready to meet each citizen and reply to all the questions.

Previously it was reported that all the victims of assassination in Armenia’s Gyumri have been identified. The Press Secretary of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia Sona Truzyan informed “Armenpress” that Seryozha K. Avetisyan (father of the family), Hasmik R. Avetisyan (mother of the family), Armen S. Avetisyan (their son), Araks A. Avetisyan (family’s bride), Aida S. Avetisyan (daughter) and Hasmik A. Avetisyan (2-year old child) have been killed. The seventh member of the family, 6-8 month old child Seryozha A. Avetisyan has been hospitalized.

The serviceman of the Russian military base 102 Valery Permyakov, suspected in the assassination of the family of 6 in Armenia’s Gyumri, has given first testimonies and confessed his crime.
