Armenia's non-ruling factions stop boycott

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS: The non-ruling factions of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia stopped the boycott and are participating in the special session, initiated by the Government. Armenpress reports that the representatives of all the factions are taking part in the session on December 17.
Earlier it was reported that the heads of the factions of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia discussed with the President of the Parliament Galust Sahakyan the issue on convening a special session of the National Assembly to discuss the recent attacks on the Karabakh war veterans and the deputy Aram Manukyan. After the 20-minute break, the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Galust Sahakyan emphasized that if the non-governing forces want to convene a special session on that issue, they can do it after 18:00.“Concerning the interruption of the Government’s special session, we cannot interrupt it, as it would be a procedure violation”, - said Sahakyan. As reported earlier, an unidentified person assaulted and hit Aram Manukyan, an MP from the Armenian National Congress, in the entrance of the building where he lives. In addition, several days ago Karabakh war veterans Razmik Petrosyan, Manvel Yeghiazaryan and Suren Sargsyan were beaten.
