YEREVAN, 19 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, who is on a working visit to London, had a meeting with leaders of the British-Armenian Community Council along with Armenia’s Ambassador to the UK Armen Sargsyan.

As the Department of Information and Public Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reported to “ArmenPress”, Hranush Hakobyan talked about Armenia’s domestic and foreign policies and issues related to the perspectives of the country’s economic development. During the meeting, the sides discussed the strengthening of Armenia-Diaspora relations, preservation of the Armenian identity, issues related to different sectors of community life and the implementation of joint projects. The sides also discussed the preparations ahead of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.

During the visit, Hranush Hakobyan also met with the teachers and principals of Armenian Saturday and Sunday schools of London.

The Minister of Diaspora also met with the leaders of the body of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party (Ramgavar) and Tekeyan Cultural Association.

Possible cooperation in the healthcare sector was discussed during the meeting with members of the board of AGBU UK.
