YEREVAN, OCTOBER 21, ARMENPRESS: Armenia’s decision on affiliation to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) was conditioned by large prospects of the economic development, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov noted in his address at the National Assembly.

“The agreement on Armenia’s affiliation to the EEU was signed on October 10. The decision was conditioned by wide opportunities of the economic development. Moreover, prospects also open for foreign investors, who can enter the EEU joint market through Armenia’s economic territory in a simplified procedure,” said Sharamzanov, Armenpress reports.

He also assured that Armenia is ready to continue the cooperation with EU partners in all directions.  National Assembly Deputy Speaker added that the rumors that Armenia’s autonomy is endangered due to EEU membership are exaggerated.
