Armenia will never go to steps that may harm Nagorno Karabakh Republic

TSAGHKADZOR, OCTOBER 13, ARMENPRESS: Armenia will never go to steps that may harm the security of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, National Assembly Speaker Galust Sahakyan told journalists in Tsaghkadzor in answer to the question whether there will be a customs service on the border of Armenia and NKR after joining the Eurasian Economic Union.

“Any phenomenon that may harm NKR’s security is unacceptable for Armenia. We will never go to such steps, be it a checkpoint or another issue,” stressed Galust Sahakyan, Armenpress reports. He reminded that Armenia is a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) without the NKR, but NKR benefits from it equally with Armenia.

In answer to the question whether the NKR will have equal access to EEU’s opportunities, Galust Sahakyan said, “It will be Armenia that will benefit from the EEU functions but without Artsakh Armenia tries neither to profit from anywhere nor goes to steps that will harm Artsakh.”
