Germany follows what Turkey will do over Armenian Genocide

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, ARMENPRESS: Germany expects for the commemoration ceremony of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide on April 24 2015 and discusses how and where to take part in the events. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to the Republic of Armenia Reiner Morell told Armenpress that the anniversary will be quite exciting for the Armenians.
“At the same time Germany follows with interest what steps will Turkey do on this occasion. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has already sent invitations to participate in the events devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide on April 24 2015. Germany has not yet decided with what format, where and how it will take part in the events. On that occasion discussions are being held. One thing more I would like to mention. Recently Serzh Sargsyan highlighted the issue of the Genocide at the UN General Assembly and expressed gratitude to the countries, which have recognized the Armenian Genocide. I would like to note that 10 years ago Bundestag adopted a special bill on the Armenian Genocide. If you read that bill, you will see that the historic events are thoroughly presented there and that is quite an in-depth report”, - said the Ambassador.
