YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. A reception dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of independence of the Republic of Armenia was held in the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Canada on September 22.

The Press, Information, and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that the Canadian Minister of Labor and Social Development Jason Kenny, Chairperson of the Canada-Armenia Friendship Group Harold Albrecht, members of the Canadian parliament, representatives of the diplomatic corps, NGO representatives, journalists, and members of the local Armenian community attended the reception.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Canada Armen Yeganyan made a speech at the reception and addressed the recent developments in the Armenian-Canadian relations, the high level mutual visits, and economic ties.

After, the Canadian Minister of Labor and Social Development Jason Kenny delivered  a speeches, who reflected on his impressions from the visit to Armenia, and the Chairperson of the Canada-Armenia Friendship Group Harold Albrecht, who introduced the Armenian-Canadian bilateral relations.

Events dedicated to 23rd anniversary of Armenia’s independence were also held in the Canadian cities of Montreal and Toronto.
