Turkish director's film on Armenian Genocide screened in Venice Film Festival
10:28, 1 September 2014YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. “The Cut” film dedicated to the Armenian Genocide by German filmmaker of Turkish origin Fatih Akin was displayed in the 71st Venice International Film Festival for the first time. “Armenpress” informs about this citing Turkish Haberler.com.
Before the film’s premiere, Alkin gave a press conference along with actors starring in “The Cut” film Tahar Rahim, Lara Heller, Simon Abgaryan, Hindi Zahray and Makram Khory. Referring to the treats that have been made to the director after the interview with “Akos” periodical, Akin said that he is ready to die for the sake of art.
