“Armenpress” does not confirm information about Armenian citizen’s crossing
Azerbaijani border

YEREVAN, AUGUST 26, ARMENPRESS. At this point, “Armenpress” cannot confirm the information about an Armenian citizen crossing the Azerbaijani border. There are no missing citizens in any of the Armenian villages adjacent to Tavush region. In a conversation with “Armenpress”, this was stated by the heads of the border villages.

Spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated that the citizen crossing the border from Gazakh region cannot be an Armenian serviceman, and the claims of Azerbaijan about neutralizing a saboteur do not correspond to reality. Hovhannisyan said that the Armenian Armed Forces are carrying out their daily duties, and that the news spread by the Azerbaijani media is not true.

The Azerbaijani media had reported that allegedly an Armenian citizen, whose personal data the Azerbaijani side does not report, crossed the border to Kemerli village of Azerbaijan’s Gazakh region. Several Azerbaijani media hurried to qualify the still unidentified person as a saboteur.
