Hovik Abrahamyan assessed trilateral meeting of Presidents in Sochi

YEREVAN, AUGUST 12, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan, giving an assessment to the Sochi meeting, said that the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan showed that they support the peaceful resolution of the issue. During a briefing in Armavir marz the Prime Minister said that in recent days border shootings had significantly decreased.

"During the Sochi meeting the two presidents showed that they support the ceasefire and the settlement of the issue through peace negotiations. For example, this night there were only 45 shots, which is quite a bit, because a few days ago, daily more than 4,500 shots were heard," as reports "Armenpress", said the Prime Minister.

On August 10 a trilateral meeting was held in Sochi between President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
