Resident of Armenia’s Chinari village taken captive by Azerbaijanis

CHINARI, AUGUST 7, ARMENPRESS. In a conversation with “Armenpress”, the Governor of the Chinari border village of Armenia’s Tavush Samvel Saghoyan confirmed that the resident of their village 31-year old Karen A. Petrosyan had crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and was taken captive. The news saying that he was taken captive were previously spread in the Azerbaijani media reporting that the Armenian hostage was discovered by the resident of Aghbulagh village of the Tovuz region.

Among other things, the Governor of the Chinari border village of Armenia’s Tavush Samvel Saghoyan noted: “The boy liked drinking. The circumstances of crossing the border are not clear yet. But there are suspicions that he was drunk. We are trying to clarify how it happened.”
