YEREVAN, JULY 31, ARMENPRESS. The Press Spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Artzrun Hovhannisyan denied information on the infiltration of an Azerbaijani subversive group into the territory of the Republic of Armenia. In a conversation with “Armenpress”, Hovhannisyan underscored: “That’s excluded. The information regarding the subversive act does not correspond to reality. There is a case of injury. It was a civilian, a shepherd, I guess.”

The Governor of Armenia’s Aygedzor village Sasun Safaryan confirmed the news, saying that 49-year old Valer Tshagharyan received a gunshot wound in the area of his shoulder. His life is not endangered now.

An Armenian news website published a report saying that according to some sources, an Azerbaijani subversive group penetrated into the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
