YEREVAN, JULY 16, ARMENPRESS. President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to Jean-Claude Juncker on being elected to the office of President of the European Commission. As "Armenpress" was informed from the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the President’s Office, the President of Armenia wished the new head of the European Commission all the best and productive activities. 

Serzh Sargsyan expressed hope that during Jean-Claude Juncker’s tenure as President of the European Commission, Armenia’s effective collaboration with the commission will continue to develop and deepen, opening new perspectives for mutually beneficial cooperation.

“Cooperation with the European Union has greatly contributed to the implementation of effective governance, democracy, human rights, rule of law, and reforms in other domains in Armenia, which we highly appreciate.

I reaffirm Armenia’s commitment to develop relations with the European Union both bilaterally and in the frames of the Eastern Partnership,” reads the Armenian President’s congratulatory message.
