Ukrainian parliament confirms Ukraine's EU integration course

YEREVAN, MARCH 13, ARMENPRESS: The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a resolution confirming Ukraine's course towards integration into the European Union and priority measures in this direction. Armenpress reports, citing Ukrinform that a total of 252 lawmakers voted for a respective decision on Thursday.
MPs recommended that the acting Ukrainian president urge the EU to immediately use all available levers of influence on Russia due to its actions aimed against the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Lawmakers also authorized the Ukrainian prime minister to sign the political chapter of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement on behalf of Ukraine as soon as possible, after the respective time frames are agreed.
MPs also recommended that the Ukrainian government take steps to complete the implementation of the legislative phase of the action plan on visa liberalization with the EU.
In addition, it is proposed to ensure interaction with the institutions of the EU and its member states to promote and return illegally obtained funds to Ukraine.
