Armenia reduces gas import by 3%

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 7, ARMENPRESS: The volumes of the natural and liquid gas, imported to the Republic of Armenia, have reduced by 2,86% in comparison with the last year, making 2 billion 333 million 449 thousand cubic meters. The total customs value of the gas imported in 2013 made $587,9 million.

According to the data provided by the State Revenue Committee of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, in 2012 2,4 billion cubic meters of natural and liquid gas were imported to our country with the total customs value of $532,5 million. Armenpress reports that in 2013 408 million 252,6 thousand cubic meters ofnatural and liquid gas were imported to Armenia from the Islamic Republic of Iran and 1 billion 925 million 196 thousand cubic meters from the Russian Federation.

Gas supply to Armenia is implemented by Gazprom Armenia, having 100% of the shares. The Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia set the price for one cubic meter of gas 156 drams (for the consumers using up to 10,000 cubic meters of gas).
